# ⚡ Automate Sports Highlights via Email Using Zapier and Dappier

Dappier’s **Real-Time Sports Data Model** allows you to fetch **live sports highlights** and automate updates via **Zapier and Gmail**. This guide walks you through creating a **Zap** that:

* Schedules the Zap to run at a specific time daily using Zapier Scheduler.
* Fetches real-time sports highlights using Dappier’s Sports Data Model.
* Sends the sports update via email automatically.

## **Prerequisites**

Before starting, ensure you have:

* A **[Zapier account](https://zapier.com)**
* A **Dappier API Key** (Generate it from [Dappier Platform](https://platform.dappier.com) under **Settings > Profile > API Keys**)
* A **Gmail account** (or any Zapier-supported email service)

## **Step 1: Create a New Zap**

1. **Log in to Zapier** and click **Create a Zap**.
2. **Select a Trigger**:
   * Search for **"Schedule by Zapier"** and set it to run **daily**.
3. Click **Continue**, then **Test Trigger** to confirm.

## **Step 2: Fetch Sports News**

1. Click the **"+"** icon to add another action.
2. Search for **Dappier** and select it.
3. Choose **"Get Sports News."**
4. Configure the fields:
   * **Query**: `"Today's sports highlights"`
5. Click **Continue**, then **Test the Step** to retrieve sports news.

## **Step 3: Send Sports Highlights via Email**

1. Click the **"+"** icon to add an action.

2. Search for **"Gmail"** and select it.

3. Choose **"Send Email"** as the action event.

4. Configure the fields:

   * **Recipient**: `{{User Email}}`
   * **Subject**: `"Latest Sports Highlights"`
   * **Body**:

     Hello,

     Here are today's top sports highlights:

     - ⚽ **Key Highlights**: {{Dappier Highlights Output}}

     Stay updated with the latest sports news!

     Best,
     [Your Sports Assistant]
     ```

5. Click **Continue**, then **Test the Step**.

## **Final Step: Publish Your Zap**

1. Click **Publish Zap** to enable **automated sports updates**.
2. Your Zap will now **run daily**, fetching sports highlights and sending email alerts automatically.
